{VIDEO POST} It’s The Ship – 5 Days & 4 Nights of Pure Party Joy

11 December, 2014

Ahoy, matey! This, is me.

And unfortunately, mine is not the fresh face that It’s The Ship’s awesome party crew will wake up to see when they set sail from Singapore… I’ve been talking to my friends for ages about IT’S THE SHIP 2014 – Asia’s largest music festival on a cruise. This was the mega debut, and boy am I so incredibly bummed that I couldn’t make it – I committed to attend something else in KL the exact same days, much in advance.

All aboard… say hello to my gurl Melody, who I sent in my place! We leave no man behind and our leading man on this trip is Gary. I know I know, I’m surrounded by eye candy.

Like it doesn’t blow enough that I can’t blow off much needed steam with my favourite merry-makers, it also means that I’ll miss Crookers – I spent my college days in Australia listening to “Day and Night”! (Anyone else also a fan?)

If you love the sea, sunshine, island life, and are game to party, then this is pretty much the perfect trip for you. If you’re not being sprayed with waves, you’ll probably be showered with champagne.

This isn’t your average cruise stop – Oldies and foggies need not sign up, but only the young at heart are welcome. Royal Caribbean’s prized jewel, the Voyager of the Seas, has a special flow rider machine (can surf, wakeboard or boogie board), basketball court, ice-skating rink, mini-golf course and even a rock-climbing wall so anyone who thinks that cruises are for losers can say WHATTTT.

There’s just something magical about throwing together busloads of boisterous party people, a buffet of bottles and all you can gobble, a large state-of-the-art cruise ship and some of the greatest music acts that we could ever get to see.

Dropping the beats and boozing up next to you on the cruise is also Basement Jaxx, Dash Berlin, Chvrches, and many more – but don’t hang up your dancing shoes just yet! Pace yourself and save your energy for the private beach party in Langkawi, hosted by Lil Jon. IT’S THE SHIP was a sanctuary for young, sexy and adventurous spirits… drinking in other forms of yummy spirits from William Grant & Sons. The likes of Glenfiddich Scottish whisky, Hendricks Gin and Sailor Jerry were had – Can anyone say rum in my tum?

Get lost in a world of fancy themed dinners and even pyjamas parties – It’s The Ship was a wonderland to have fun with friends, and make some new ones. Gym it all off the next day or sweat it off in the hot tub with your favourite rockstars – seeing the likes of SBCR, Sasha Grey or even the legendary Felix Buxton of Basement Jaxx chilling out in the dining lounge for lunch has got to be some sort of mind blowing. This is a whole new level of that no other music festival has!

itstheshipmediaIt’s The Ship (Asia) happened 21-25 Nov 2014, and is set up for an all-in-one price which is almost all inclusive – it covers your choice of cabin, meals & non-alcoholic drinks, plus access into all the music and festival acts. Follow their Facebook Page and let me know what you think of the video me and my friends made of the trip. You won’t see my face but you know I’m there in spirit!

As you all know from my excessive Instagramming, I’m a big fan of the legendary Future Music Festival Asia series (have always made it a point to attend the last 2 years in KL) and this significant occasion is now hitting Singapore shores, March 2015!

That lineup… I cannot even. I don’t even plan what I’m going to have for breakfast tomorrow or who I will meet on the weekend, but my friends have already gotten together solid groups for FMFA 2015. This is crazy. Early bird prices are already sold out too. Everyone is so ready for Avicii. Do yourself a (party) favour and get your tickets now!

Big thanks Livescape Asia and Heat Branding for the generous gesture and having LoveYouWrongTime onboard It’s The Ship.
